The 22nd annual meeting of the Iowa Physiological Society (IPS) will be held on September 29-30th, 2017 at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City. The theme of the conference is entitled ‘Advances in Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolic Functions in Health & Disease’.
We encourage participation from students (undergraduates, graduates), trainees and postdoctoral fellows, scientists, clinicians, and educators interested in physiological sciences/related disciplines from colleges/universities in Iowa and neighboring states. Our objective is to facilitate exchange of scientific ideas/knowledge; promote career development and networking opportunities; and strongly encourage participation by students, minorities and women.
This event will be highlighted by keynote research presentations; the IPS Lifetime Achievement Award; a workshop on diverse career opportunities for students/trainees; a workshop on advantages of using radiotelemetry in research; short talks by early-career investigators; and abstract-based poster & oral sessions. Awards will be given to best presentations in undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral levels. More information on the conference can be found here:https://ips2017.centerforconferences.uiowa.edu/.
