Dr. Abboud receives renewal of the Abboud Cardiovascular Research Center T-32 grant

Dr. François Abboud has received a 5-year renewal of the T-32 training grant from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute that funds the Abboud Cardiovascular Institutional Research Fellowship. The Research Fellowship is a competitively awarded interdisciplinary postdoctoral training opportunity providing mentorship, guidance, and support to physicians and basic research scientists with a focus in cardiovascular medicine. Graduates of this fellowship are renowned investigators and leaders in their respective fields at the University of Iowa and around the world. This program ha
s been continuously funded by the NHLBI since 1975 and will continue through 2021, an unprecedented 46 year span. Comments from ACRC Director, Dr. Barry London and Co-Director Dr. Peter Gruber on this remarkable achievement include, “The continued funding of this T-32 is a testimony to generations of researchers trained by Dr. Abboud!”.
